Healthcare Protest
July 19, 2009

On July 17, 2009 RC Patriots held a protest against Obama’s government healthcare plan in front of Congressman David Dreier’s San Dimas Office. While Dreier is against this healthcare “reform” we feel that he needs to make his view more vocal and public. We also took this street side protest as an opportunity to inform passing motorists of the dire consequences of this legislation, and then let them sign our petition against it.

We had a great turnout and even had a few important visitors. Mike Morrell (pictured above), candidate for state assembly, stopped by to offer his support!

This event was part of a nationwide, simultaneous protest which encouraged people to go to every single congressman and senators office. After our protest hour was over, we marched up to Dreier’s office to submit our petition and letters.

Richard Rea, a member of Dreier’s staff, met with about 20 of us in the congressman’s conference room. He was extremely interested in what each of us had to say and was very open to our suggestions. The meeting lasted for about an hour.

Independence Day Rally Wrap-up
July 5, 2009

What a way to celebrate independence day! Our rally was a huge success thanks to all the patriots who showed up from far and wide. We had an estimated turnout of over 450 patriots including the honorable Mayor of Rancho Cucamonga himself, Donald Kurth, pictured above. We want to thank everyone for their passion, excitement and positive energy that defined this patriotic event.
With the better than expected turnout and the overwhelmingly positive response from the people on the street and the cars on the road we are confident that the strength of our message is being carried all across the region. Today was a day to not only celebrate our independence, but to once again declare it. We know that with your continued support this message will not get lost in the doldrums of day to day life, but it will echo from the mountains in Rancho Cucamonga all the way to the statehouse in Sacramento and to the capitol of our country with the voices of other Tea Party rallies across the nation.
Once again thank you for your support on this eventful day and please carry on the message to all of your friends and neighbors, that your liberty and independence are yours to fight for and that the government derives its power from you.
Tea Party Video Announcement
July 2, 2009
Here is a (low resolution) video of my announcement of the July 4th Tea Party to the Rancho Cucamonga City Council.
After the camera turned off the mayor of Rancho Cucamonga asked me several questions about the event and seemed very interested!
An Open Letter to Patriots
July 1, 2009
Fellow Citizens,
History has verified that every Society must occasionally review its course of action and demand change when necessary to promote the health and well-being of its People.
America has been no stranger to this principle. The Founding of this country was based on the ideal that a nation’s people are best when self-governed and free. The Civil War was fought on the principle that a nation must stand united to provide Liberty, and the Civil Rights and Women’s Suffrage Movements proved that peaceful demonstrations and determination can, in a free country, change the status quo and bring equality to all people.
These battles were fought not because the subjects were popular, they were fought because the cause was just!
Given the course of current events, it is once again necessary to declare our independence. Read the rest of this entry »
